Article Marketing: How Much Income Can You Make?

from: Glenn Cutforth

If you're just getting started using articles to promote your website, you're probably wondering how much you can make from placing articles and affiliate links on your website. The amount will actually vary from person to person depending on a number of factors, but it has a lot to do with how successful your site is. In other works, if you get good search engine rankings through other SEO tactics, design your site to be enjoyable and informative with quality content, and build your site around a popular niche topic, the size of your site, and how many sites you have will all be factors in how much money you can earn online with niche sites.

There are those who claim they make as much as $10,000 per month ($120,000 per year) through building and promoting niche sites, however, you shouldn't expect this kind of success righte away, especially if you're new, because this much success takes time and hard work and usually only comes with experience and learning to juggle many skills.

With the long term in mind, a decent income from a niche site, after you've worked for months to gain traffic and have good affiliate programs sprinkled throughout your site, should be in the $500-$1,000 range per month. However, keep in mind this is recurring income, so you'll make that much monthly from the efforts you've put into one site. If you have ten sites that reach this level of income, then you'll be on your way to matching the $10,000 a month income level.

Once a site becomes successful, most people decide to continue building additional niche sites. The more sites you build, the higher the potential income you can generate. You can choose to build very fast and build a lot of small sites, or you can spend the time building quality larger sites. However, be aware that the larger each of your sites are, the more income you'll likely generate.

When getting started, it's important to remember your first site will always be the most difficult to put together since you have to learn the proper way to structure the site and all the ways you can optimize it to attract search engine traffic. Not everyone has the time and patience to learn how to market and promote niche sites. In the long run, it may not work out for you, which may result in you losing some money, but that's the risk everyone takes in this business.

The important thing is that you don’t give up without giving it your best shot, if building niche websites is really what you want to do. Your first site may take a long time, the work may be tedious, and you may feel like giving up every single day. However, if you give up too early, you'll never know what might have been. Who knows, if you stick to your guns you could be the next great website marketer!
