Making Money with Articles: Niche Websites
from: Glenn CutforthChoosing a good niche topic to build your website around is one of the most important aspects of making money with articles. This gives you a foundation to build from and you can target a general audience with keywords they're most likely to be searching for. You should take each one of these keywords and use it for the basis of one article on each page.
This is how, even though you're targeting a specific topic, you'll gain the interest of a high number of people who are interested in that particular niche topic. They could also discover other pages of interest which should result in them returning regularly to your site to get new and updated information.
To go about finding the right keywords for your topic you can obtain a keyword software program and then all you have to do is type in the keyword that describes your niche. This will generate a list of keywords and keyword phrases with your niche topic keyword and will give you an estimation of how many people search for these words and phrases. Some programs also include information on how many sites compete for each word and phrase, which will help you understan if the number of sites make it worth your while to try to compete for the number of searches.
Once you have this information, you can deicide which will likely be the most profitable by determining which one has the fewest competitors. This will help you get to the first page of search engine search results, but also give you a reasonable number of visitors searching for that keyword and/or keyword phrase every month. These are the keywords and phrases you'll use to build pages for your niche website.
If you're interested in a number of niche subjects, it's wise to start with one you feel will have less competition and therefor easiest to profit from. When your site is built and earning you some income, it's time to start another site. Web masters who are good at discovering profitable niches and able to combine this with building quality content website containing appropriate affiliate links will always have the best chance to continue building more money generating niche websites.
Never limit yourself in what you can accomplish with a niche website. If you feel you don't have the marketing skills or working capital to get started, then just start with a smaller site and work your way up. Any new skill can be acquired over time, so don't give up. As you build new sites and do the proper keyword research, you'll get better at it each time out and before you know it, you'll have a network of profitable niche sites that have the potentioal of making you a full time living.
