What All Articles Must Contain

from: Glenn Cutforth

Articles are one of the most importat elements of any website because they provide much success in driving traffic to the sit site. Articles have become a key element in making a site work and earn a profit. The owner of a website is wise to include articles in his or her site in order to increase their content and provide the many benefits articles give their site.

The main benefit of articles is to help drive traffic to a website and they are one of the factors that will give a site high rankings in search result pages. The higher a site ranks, the larger slice of the traffic flow pie, and this higher traffic will result in more profits and more potential for other income opportunities.

However, the reality is that it's not enough to just stuff your site with articles. The articles should meet specific requirements to obtain maximum benefits. A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of your visitors and keep them coming back for more and they will likely even recommend your site to their friends.

Here are a few tips that will make your articles work best on your websites. These are essential elements all articles must have to successfully make your site profitable by bringing a steady stream of targetted traffic.

* Keywords and Keyword Phrases.

Articles should be centered on specific keywords and keyword phrases. When a visitor goes to a website, some are just browsing but looking for specific information. They may have gone to a search engine and typed in the keywords they were looking for (e.g. GM Saturn, bronchitis, Divorce Lawyer and so on). Obviously, It could be anything.

Therefor it's important that you have articles containing the keywords related to your site theme. For example, if you have a site about insurance, you should have articles about different types of insurance such as dental, life, health, auto etc. There are many tools available to help webmasters determine the correct keywords and keyword phrases are searched to most related to your site. These tools will help you determine keywords to use when writing your articles.0

* Keyword Density

Once you have the correct keywords and phrases, you must use them properly. Your articles should have good keyword density so the search engines can "feel" its presence -- about ten to fifteen percent keyword density, which will help the search engines to rank your site high in their search results. It's should be clear that getting a high rank is what articles do best for any site.

Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used in an article. This number varies depending on how many words are used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that isn't too high or too low. If the density is too hich, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It comes off as overeager. However, at the same time an article with too low denisty may be ignored by the search engines altogether.

* Good Article Content

Therefore always remember you should never just stuff an article with keywords, since each one should be regarded as good reading materials. Your articles should be able to entertain people as well as provide the type of good information they're looking for. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, do your research amd make you do good good that is well thought out.

People seem to respond well to figures, facts and statistics, so always strive to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. As more people believe in you. They'll be able to trust you and your products.

* Linking Articles

It's also important to remembe that if you're going to submit articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, never forget to include a link to your site. A resource box with a brief description of your site and you should always be placed at the bottom of the articles you submit. If people like your articles, they'll likely click on the link directing them to your site.
