Ways to Make your MySpace Page Work for You
from: Glenn CutforthIf you're between the ages of 14 and 25, chances are you have taken advantage of one of the most popular websites around: MySpace. MySpace is the ultimate place where anybody can go to tell the world about his or her likes, dislikes and interests. It can be a place to express your freedom of speech, or just a place to go when you need to let off some steam. Your MySpace website can be as personal or as public as you like. The key is to find a way to make your MySpace site reflect you.
Generally, users on MySpace are young and are looking for a way to connect with their friends in a way that makes it easy. When you sign up for a MySpace account, you can do this by making your site whatever attractive to others. If you love music, you can go here to download your favorite tunes for everyone to hear. Perhaps you want to keep a blog about your favorite bands and the newest CDs you have. If you love movies, you can use your MySpace site to recap the movies you love and to connect with others that enjoy the same. You can even make your MySpace website a little of everything.
There are many ways you can add to your MySpace site to make special. You can add blogs, pictures, videos, music, instant messaging features and even a place for quizzes! You can poll your friends on who's the cutest guy in school or ask them which song they love the most. It's all yours when you sign up for a MySpace account.
If you're not familiar with using MySpace and aren't sure how to get started, you might want to take a tour of MySpace before your start your profile. One of the best ways to know how you want your profile page to look is to visit other pages and see what you like and what you don't like. If there's a certain feature on someone else's web page that you just love, do not be afraid to ask him or her how to get one.
There are many third party sites (sites that are not officially affiliated with MySpace) that offer all sorts of interesting things that you can easily download to your very own MySpace profile. When you get an idea of what you think will or will not work for you, then it is time to start your very own MySpace profile page.
When you sign up for a MySpace account, there will be templates and layouts available to use on your site. If you think the offerings are too limited, you can do an Internet search for sites that offer you free and easy to download templates to fit your unique needs. Most of the time, these sites offer you step by step instructions on how to personalize your site if you're unfamiliar with the way web pages work. You're now on your way to building your very one MySpace account you'll be proud to show the world.
Now that you have your main layout of your page, you can begin to explore the other possibilities and features available to you on MySpace. You can add new colors, fonts, backdrops, pictures, and cartoons -- almost anything you want to your personal page. Add with you can now network on the third most popular site in United States, you're well on your way to making your MySpace experience all your own.
